To the Lord’s people who gather at Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi,
Today, I write you with deep appreciation. You must first of all be thinking… “who is this letter from?” The reality that you and I will likely never meet in this world is likely, but you have become an endeared friend.
Why is a pastor in Twin Falls, Idaho thankful to the Lord for you?
About three weeks ago I received an email from Scott Hanberry. He informed me and invited me to consider attending this year’s Idaho Preacher School. After I called a mutual friend, Mike Palmer, pastor at Salmon Valley Baptist Church, to inquire, I signed up. This past weekend I had the privilege of attending the Idaho Preacher School.
I was encouraged and blessed by the event you help host. The preaching of the word of God by your pastor, Wayne Marshall, was timely in my life. I’ve known Scott Hanberry for several years and was blessed to have spent the weekend with him. And you sent several men from your church as well. They were so kind to me and treated me as a brother.
When you welcome the Idaho Preacher School men home, please communicate to them how thankful I am to God for their coming. I know that this came as a personal cost from these men, their families and you the church at Longview Heights Baptist Church, Olive Branch, Mississippi
You were kind to this pastor in Twin Falls, Idaho and the Lord’s people at Eastside Baptist Church. Thank you.
I know that the kingdom of heaven does not work on the economy of indebtedness so I’ll be careful to not cheapen your kindness and love expressed to me and many other pastors. Please know that I’m deeply grateful to the Lord for your investment in my life, albeit a few short days, may there be eternal fruit as a result.
May the Lord find pleasure in blessing your fellowship and the community of Olive Branch, Mississippi.
For the joy of the Lord,
Paul Thompson
